Anne Curtis Defends Nadine Lustre from Rude KathNiel Fan on Twitter

Anne Curtis is not here for your petty fights after she shut down one rabid KathNiel fan and defended fellow host Nadine Lustre from further bashing.

It began quite innocently when a fan posted a photo of Anne and Nadine together, taken during the Monday episode of It’s Showtime on Twitter, captioning it with: “AnneDine ?? @annecurtissmith @hellobangsie #MagpasikatBiLLyJamesAmy”

However, one Twitter user with the handle @kathxnielonly snarkily replied: “namatayan na nga nagagawa pang mag inarte na ganyan. advocacy pang keep going ul*l #OwnWhoYouAre pa rin without pretentions.”
Wait, what?
It looked like Anne also noticed the inconsiderate hate comment, given that Nadine is still mourning the loss of her brother after he committed suicide. The actress replied, but made sure that it will burn for quite some time:

“You are a horrible person. You never know what a person is going through or how they deal with whatever it is they are feeling. So back off.”

We’re not sure what kind of person he/she is, but Anne’s response prompted various reactions and continued discussion on cyberbullying.

It’s quite ironic since Kathryn Bernardo is an ambassadress of an anti-cyberbullying organization, The Cybersmile Foundation. The actress also popularized the hashtag, #OwnWhoYouAre, as her battle cry for being called ‘sakang’ by the social media celebrity, Xander Ford.

Moreover, the La Luna Sangre star has refrained from reining in the avid supporters of the KathNiel love team, who were usually involved in some kind of Twitter word war with various showbiz personalities, like Angel Locsin and Nadine Lustre.

Meanwhile, some of the more supportive netizens sympathized with Nadine and what she’s going through.

It has been more than a week since news of her younger brother committing suicide trended on the internet, thereby raising awareness on mental health problems in the Philippines.

Nadine and her family continued to keep mum about the suicide, despite cryptic posts on their respective social media accounts.
